LEICESTER launch their league programme at home to Scunthorpe on Saturday – and that means a return for a familiar face!
Aussie ace Ryan Douglas was a popular figure in the Watling JCB Lions dressing room but made a return to his former club in the winter to ease his travel plans at weekends for Polish League racing.
He’s sure to be a major threat as he makes a swift return to the Paul Chapman and Sons Arena, Beaumont Park.
And Leicester skipper Kyle Howarth admits he’s impressed with the way Scunthorpe have built their team.
“They look solid from top to bottom and they’ll be a test for us but from our perspective we need to start the league programme with three points on the board.”
Scunthorpe also include a second member of last year’s Leicester team, Zaine Kennedy.
And Jake Allen has returned to the club after spending last season at Redcar and is second in their averages behind Douglas.
The action starts at 7pm which is the normal start time for racing on Saturday nights at the venue.
LEICESTER: Nick Morris, Connor Mountain, Kyle Howarth, Dan Thompson, Richie Worrall, Anders Rowe, Joe Thompson.
